About

sideshotstandup

Raised by a Pentecostal mother and a Catholic father, Greg Brainos quickly learned to hate religion, other kids, and Mavis Beacon. His high school principal tried to kill him. He was rejected by the Marines during a time when even homeless people weren’t denied enlistment. It’s safe to say that he has a gambling problem. Every woman he sleeps with has a mustache the next morning that wasn’t there the night before.

As a stand-up comedian, Greg has opened for Mike Birbiglia, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Jon Reep. As a humorist, he has written for Mister Diplomat and The Niche Players. As a screenwriter, Greg likes to procrastinate.

Greg would like to personally thank Zach Ward and the DSI Comedy Theater for being an incredible friend, a wealth of knowledge, and for continually supporting his artistic projects. Greg would also like to thank everyone at Goodnight’s Comedy Club for the stage time, the paid stage time, and the bonds that have been formed both on and off-stage that could never be measured by a weakening U.S. dollar.

Lastly, Greg would like to thank you for taking the time to violate your workplace’s no-internet policy just so you can have a little piece of me inside of you.
